La Asociación Argentina de Traductores e Intérpretes es una asociación profesional fundada en 1982 por un grupo de traductores e intérpretes visionarios con la misión de defender los intereses de los traductores científico-técnicos y literarios e intérpretes cuyos idiomas de trabajo incluyan el español, incluidos los intérpretes de Lengua de Señas Argentina. Su propósito principal, entre otros, es promover el perfeccionamiento profesional de los profesionales: ofrece capacitación de primer nivel para enfrentar las necesidades cambiantes de la profesión y las nuevas tecnologías, un directorio web de socios acreditados, la difusión de ofertas laborales, becas, un boletín con información relevante para el desempeño de la profesión y asesoramiento contable, jurídico y profesional, entre otros beneficios. Con una trayectoria de cuarenta años de servicio, tiene una activa participación en foros nacionales, regionales e internacionales, y realiza una intensa labor de concientización profesional, con la misión de jerarquizar la labor del traductor e intérprete profesional.

Prosodia translations is an agency focused on translation services, MTPE, transcription, subtitling, proofreading, terminology and terminology work. APTIC was officially constituted on January 1, 2009, from the merger of the two generalist associations of translators and interpreters in Catalonia: the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Catalonia (ATIC) and Translators and Interpreters Associated pro College (TRIAC). In 2006, the law on the exercise of qualified professions and professional associations was presented, which excluded the possibility of creating an official association of translators and interpreters. At that time, the objectives of ATIC and TRIAC became the same and the future merger began to take shape. Thanks to this union, APTIC began to operate with more than 500 members.
APTIC currently has more than twenty-five years of experience. Its main objectives are to represent the interests of translation and interpreting professionals; to contribute to the improvement of their working conditions and promote their social recognition; to facilitate the continuous training and retraining of professionals; to offer resources and activities open to the public; and to foster associations and promote culture.
